Bengaluru: A daily wage worker died after a fatal collision involving two canter trucks in southern Bengaluru early on Sunday, the police said.
The incident occurred at 5.30 am on NICE Road when one of the trucks tried to speedily overtake a vehicle from the left side of the road, but collided with the canter truck in which the deceased, Murugan, was sleeping.
Due to the collision, the truck crashed into the safety wall on NICE Road, resulting in Murugan receiving fatal injuries to his body.
Murugan was declared dead on arrival by a doctor at a nearby hospital, the police added.

The driver of the truck who caused the crash abandoned his vehicle and is absconding. The Hulimavu traffic police have registered a case and seized the truck.
