Last month, Xiaomi's brand new premium QLED X Pro 75 series smart TV hit stores in India.
It comes with top-of-the-line features and promises an immersive viewing experience.
I have been reviewing it for close to two weeks, and here are my thoughts on Xiaomi's new smart Google TV.
Design and display
As mentioned in its name, it comes with a massive 75-inch screen, the biggest TV from the house of Xiaomi in India to date. For obvious reasons, it takes two people to set it up.
For installation, I declined the service from the company. My wife and I took less than half an hour to read the manual, align the stand with the attachment points and put it on the TV stand.

Xiaomi QLED X Pro 75 can be setup in a few minutes with an Android phone.
Thanks to deep integration with Xiaomi phones, I was able to link my Google account with the TV and complete the setup process in less than five minutes. That includes pairing with a Wi-Fi router via an Ethernet cable.
If you are not tech-savvy, please call the customer care to get the installation done by professionals. It is a big TV; even small mistakes can make you pay dearly. For instance, you have to ensure the screws to the stand are tightened securely. But be cautious not to over-tighten, as it can damage internal components of the TV.
It features a massive 75-inch QLED (Quantum-dot Light Emitting Diode) panel with 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160p) resolution, supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
The company has used CineMagiQLED panel that covers 94 per cent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, reproducing over 1.07 billion colors.
It offers enhanced contrast, brightness, and colour depth to deliver lifelike content on the screen.

It comes in a near bezel-less design with up to 97.76 per cent screen-to-body ratio and boasts of Dual Line Gate (DLG) 120Hz tech, which enhances motion clarity.
As far as connectivity is concerned, it features three HDMI ports (including one with eARC), two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, AV, Optical, Antenna, and an earphone port, along with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support for flexible connectivity across devices.

Performance
The big TV is powered by a quad-core A55 processor with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, Vivid Picture Engine 2, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It ensures the TV works smoothly and OTT apps load faster.
It runs a Google TV-based PatchWall interface. The TV offers streamlined content discovery, gives access to Xiaomi TV+ with free live TV channels, and has a Universal Search feature. You can find content across apps with the Google Assistant.
Google Voice Assistant offers hands-free control, allowing users to search for content, adjust settings, or control connected smart devices effortlessly.
It also supports AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Miracast, which enables users to mirror their smartphone (iPhone and Android) screen onto their TV. It also has Kids Mode with parental controls, and supports several regional languages of India.

Xiaomi QLED X Pro 75 remote.
The company also offers a long remote control with shortcuts to popular OTT apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, SonyLiv, JioHotStar and Live TV, along with Google Voice Assistant key, number pad and standard volume controls, navigation keys and settings.
Though the remote controller is lightweight, it is a bit too long. If you forget and leave it on the sofa, and there is a high chance that somebody may unknowingly sit on it, and it will be crushed. So, get a cover case or ensure the remote is placed near the TV or in the drawer.
It features MEMC technology to reduce blur during rapid transitions while watching live cricket matches, football games, and racing sequences.
It also supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which comes in handy while playing games when connected to consoles. This allows users to switch seamlessly between cinematic viewing and competitive gaming without compromising on performance.

As advertised, the Xiaomi QLED X Pro 75 delivers a delightful viewing experience.

It boasts of Filmmaker Mode, which ensures that movies are viewed in as close to original frame rates, aspect ratios, and colour profiles. It will most likely convince people to stop going to theatres on the weekend.
