To bring normalcy expect more relaxations under Unlock 5.0: Meghalaya Deputy CM

Shillong: The Meghalaya government is working to bring back normalcy in an attempt to revive economic activity in the state post the nationwide lockdown. Meghalaya deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong on Thursday said that more relaxations would be introduced soon following the home ministry's Unlock 5.0 guidelines.

Tynsong said that Meghalaya is still closed; therefore people are routed through the entry points.

"We also have a dedicated line set up for the returnees or people entering the state. They will have to go to the website of the state government and register. Restriction on inter-state movement is still in place. We want economic activity to restart to make sure the livelihood of everybody is not affected anymore. Based on that relaxation is made and in future, more relaxations will be introduced," said Tynsong.
