The Food Corporation of India (FCI) is expected to release the Assistant Grade 3 (AG 3) Recruitment Notification 2026 between August and September.
Although the official advertisement is yet to be issued, the notification is expected to be published on the official FCI recruitment portal.
The recruitment drive is likely to cover Assistant Grade 3 posts in the General, Depot, Accounts, Technical and Hindi categories. The notification is expected to carry details on vacancies, eligibility criteria, application dates, exam pattern and other important instructions.
As per previous recruitment trends, the online application process is likely to begin after the notification is released. The examination schedule will be announced later.
For the General and Depot posts, candidates are expected to require a bachelor's degree in any discipline along with computer proficiency. Applicants for the Accounts post are likely to need a B.Com degree with computer proficiency.
For the Technical post, the expected qualification is a B.Sc. in Agriculture, Botany, Zoology or Biotechnology, or a B.Tech in Food Science or Biotechnology. Candidates applying for the Hindi post are expected to hold a bachelor's degree with Hindi as the main subject and possess English translation skills.
The age limit is expected to be 18 to 27 years for most posts, while candidates applying for Assistant Grade 3 (Hindi) may be eligible up to 28 years of age. Relaxation in the upper age limit is expected to be available for reserved category candidates as per government rules.
The application fee is likely to be Rs 500 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories. SC, ST, PwD candidates and women applicants are expected to be exempt from paying the fee.
Selected candidates are expected to receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs 28,200 to Rs 79,200 per month.
The selection process is expected to include two online examinations followed by document verification. Phase 1 will be a common objective-type test covering English Language, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Aptitude and General Studies.
In Phase 2, candidates applying for the General and Depot posts are expected to appear for Paper 1. Those applying for the Technical, Accounts and Hindi posts are likely to appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. There is no interview stage, and the final merit list is expected to be prepared on the basis of candidates' performance in the online examinations and document verification.
