Call him Aman Sahu or Aman Saw. Coal traders or builders from Jharkhand to Chhattisgarh used to get scared on hearing Aman's name. But now Aman's terror has ended. Aman Saw died in an encounter on Tuesday while being brought from Raipur jail in Chhattisgarh to NIA court in Ranchi for appearance.

After completing his studies from Punjab, he opened a mobile shop
After studying till 12th, Aman completed his diploma in computer science from Technical University in Mohali, Punjab. Then he came to Patratu in Ranchi and opened a mobile shop. Aman Sahu came in contact with criminals while running a mobile shop in Patratu. It is said that miscreants used to visit his shop frequently. During this time, Aman's association with the infamous Sujit Sinha of Palamu increased. Then he along with Sujit started threatening coal traders and attacking coal sidings.

After a few days, Aman left Sujit and formed his own gang and established himself in the world of crime. During this time, he also came in contact with Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Coming in contact with Bishnoi, Aman got in touch with big gangs and foreign weapons.
First crime at the age of 17, first arrest in 2019
People who knew Aman Sahu told that he committed his first crime at the age of 17. Till his death, more than 125 cases were registered against Aman. According to reports, Aman Sahu was arrested for the first time in 2019. Then he was accused of selling fake SIM and assault. But on 29 September 2019, he escaped from Barkagaon police station.
Aman Saw was lodged in different jails
By 2020, Aman had become the uncrowned king of the world of crime. His fear was spread throughout the Koyalanchal belt. Files were being made in his name in many police stations of Hazaribagh. Meanwhile, in 2020, the team of then Ranchi SSP Surendra Jha arrested him from Ranchi. After the arrest, Aman stayed in different jails of Jharkhand.
During this time, Aman used to demand special facilities in every jail he stayed in. If not given, he used to threaten the jailer to kill him along with his family. He also used to operate his gang from the jail itself.

Had also made preparations to contest elections
Aman was also preparing to enter the electoral fray in the recently concluded Jharkhand Assembly elections. Aman wanted to contest from the Barkagaon Assembly seat. Aman's messages with good wishes on every festival used to go viral. He had made full preparations to contest elections from jail. But the High Court did not allow him to contest elections citing more than 100 criminal cases.

This youth from a small village, who entered the world of crime at the age of just 17-18 years, had expanded the network of terror in Jharkhand as well as Chhattisgarh, Bihar and other states.
According to police records, Aman Sahu was born in 1995. He passed the matriculation examination in 2010 with 78 percent marks and after that did a diploma in Information Technology and Computer Science from Mohali.
After returning from Punjab, in 2012 he came in contact with Kuleshwar Singh, the supremo of the banned militant organization Jharkhand Janmukti Morcha.
He opened a mobile shop in a shop in Patratu of Ramgarh district. In 2013, he formed his own gang and started committing crimes like robbery and extortion.
In the year 2019, he was detained by the police of Barkagaon police station of Hazaribagh district for questioning in the murder case of a JMM leader.
After the name of Aman gang came up in the incidents of firing and robbery at the showrooms of businessmen in Chhattisgarh, the police there took him from Jharkhand to Raipur on a production warrant on October 14, 2024.
Since then he was lodged in Raipur jail. Three days ago, Aman Sahu's gang had taken responsibility for the firing incident on coal transporter Bipin Mishra in Ranchi.
