Actor Akshay Khanna has played the role of the cruel Aurangzeb in this film. His strong acting skills are being appreciated by the audience and critics.

After the martyrdom of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the Marathas came together. Their resistance against the Mughals was further strengthened. Aurangzeb was the sixth Mughal emperor. He ruled from 1658 to 1707. Aurangzeb was so cruel that he had imprisoned his father and killed his elder brother to secure the throne. Historians have described him as a tyrant.

Finally, in 1707, Aurangzeb died of natural causes. He was buried in an open grave in Khuldabad. Indologist Stanley Wolpert said, "Aurangzeb's last words to his son, who was very close to death, were, 'I have come alone and am going as a stranger. I do not know who I am and what I am doing.' Some reports also mention that Aurangzeb's last words were, "After me, chaos."

The film, starring Vicky Kaushal, has so far earned Rs 433.5 crore nationwide. The worldwide collection of 'Chhawa' has reached Rs 590 crore so far.
