A year after the mysterious death of Bengaluru-based dermatologist Krithika Reddy, startling new evidence has emerged against her husband, Dr. Mahendra Reddy.
Investigators have uncovered over 1 million digital files, including incriminating chats on UPI payment platforms like Phone-Pe. To avoid police surveillance on WhatsApp, the accused surgeon used transaction apps to communicate with his lover, a nurse named Harishtha.
On April 21, 2025, Mahendra allegedly administered a lethal overdose of anesthesia to Krithika at their residence and later tried to pass it off as a natural death at the hospital. However, his deleted digital data betrayed him. In one chilling message, he wrote, “I have no evidence, but I killed Krithika. I will go to jail.” The couple had married in May 2024, but Mahendra was reportedly involved in an extramarital affair. Based on these forensic findings and the direct confession found in the digital logs, the local court has rejected his bail plea, keeping the “killer surgeon” behind bars.
