"No More Work with Leena Ganguly!" Artist Forum Issues Strict Orders Following Actor's Death

The Bengali film industry has taken a historic stand following the mysterious death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee. After day-long deliberations at Technician Studio on Tuesday, the Artist Forum announced that actors and technicians will no longer collaborate with the production house ‘Magic Moments’.

Vice-President of the Artist Forum, Prosenjit Chatterjee, addressed the press, stating that the ban on Leena Ganguly and Saibal Banerjee's production house is effective immediately in Bengal. He hinted that the forum might request a pan-India boycott of the agency to ensure the safety of artists nationwide. “We are answering through our actions, not just words. There is a sense of fear among the artists, and we cannot risk their safety anymore,” Chatterjee remarked.

The fallout of Rahul's death has resonated beyond Tollywood, drawing criticism from Kerala, Odisha, and the Hindi film industry. The forum is now pushing for a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to address mental stress and workplace safety on sets. Until the production house clears its name, the industry remains firm on its decision to halt all ongoing and future projects with them.
