Prominent Tollywood director and producer Agnidev Chatterjee has been rushed to a private hospital in Kolkata following a sudden health crisis.
On Saturday evening, the filmmaker suffered a ‘mild stroke’, prompting his family to immediately admit him to a healthcare facility located near the EM Bypass. The news of his sudden illness has sent shockwaves through the Bengali film fraternity.
According to medical sources, Chatterjee is currently being treated by a team of specialists. While his condition is reported to be stable for now, he remains under close observation to rule out any further complications. His wife, Sudipa Chatterjee, is with him at the hospital along with other family members. Agnidev, known for critically acclaimed films like Charuulata 2011 and Mrs. Sen, has a significant contribution to contemporary Bengali cinema. Colleagues and well-wishers from the industry have been pouring in messages of support, wishing the veteran filmmaker a speedy and complete recovery.
