South Indian actress Nithya Menen is often in the news for her bold statements. She is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film 'Kadhalikka Neramillai'.
In a recent interview, she shared an experience from the film industry.
She once mentioned that people in the industry can be ruthless. However, this time, she shared a different experience.
Actors are often expected to perform regardless of their health. In an interview with Cinema Vikatan, Nithya Menen said, "The film industry can be somewhat ruthless. Whether you are unwell or in trouble, you have to come to the set and perform. We are used to it now. Struggles spare no one."
In the 2020 film 'Psycho,' Nithya worked with filmmaker Mysskin. Her experience with him was very different. She said, "On the first day of the shoot, I got my periods and was in a lot of pain. For the first time, I called a male director and told him about my period pain. He asked me, 'Is it the first day?' At that moment, I realized how understanding he was. He advised me to rest and said, 'Come back when you feel better.' His response deeply impressed me. Unlike others, he showed a unique perspective. Mysskin said that he has a mother, wife, and daughters, which makes him aware of such things."
