Just days before the polls, Trinamool Congress candidate and popular singer Aditi Munshi has landed in a major controversy. The BJP has filed a formal complaint with the Election Commission in Kolkata, alleging that Munshi used a Nigerian footballer during her campaign in the Rajarhat-Gopalpur constituency.
According to BJP leaders, involving a foreign national in an Indian election campaign is a direct violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The party claims that the TMC is resorting to such illegal tactics to influence voters and create a spectacle in the area.
Along with the complaint, the BJP has submitted video evidence showing the foreign player participating in the campaign trail. They have demanded immediate action against Aditi Munshi and asked for a thorough investigation into the matter. This explosive allegation has intensified the political battle in Rajarhat just ahead of the voting day.
