The 'Controversy Queen' of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut, has officially reclaimed her throne on the micro-blogging site Twitter (now X) after a two-year hiatus.
Her account was permanently suspended in May 2021 for violating Twitter’s policies on hateful conduct. On Tuesday, a jubilant Kangana shared a screenshot of her handle on Instagram, stating, "Glad to be back on Twitter."
The suspension dates back to the aftermath of the 2021 Bengal Assembly elections. Kangana had posted a highly provocative tweet urging PM Narendra Modi to “tame” Mamata Banerjee following allegations of post-poll violence. After repeated violations of the 'Hateful Conduct' policy, Twitter took the extreme step of banning her handle (@KanganaTeam).
Since Elon Musk's takeover of the platform, fans had been clamoring for her return. Following Musk's acquisition, Kangana herself had praised the move. Now, with the tech mogul at the helm, the firebrand actress has finally been “liberated” from her ban. All eyes are now on her feed to see if she returns to her signature unfiltered and fierce style.
