Bengaluru-based AGNIT Semiconductors has raised $2.6 million (around Rs 24 crore) in an extension of its seed funding round led by Shastra VC, with participation from existing investors 3one4 Capital and Zephyr Peacock.

The brand had previously raised $3.5 million in its seed round in 2024. Overall, the startup has raised over $7 million in funding to date.

The proceeds will be used to scale production to 1 lakh gallium nitride (GaN) components over the next two years and expand into telecom infrastructure and high-efficiency power semiconductor devices.

Founded in 2019 by Hareesh Chandrasekar, Digbijoy Neelim Nath, Madhusudan Atre, Mayank Shrivastava, Muralidharan Rangarajan, Shankar Kumar Selvaraja, and Srinivasan Raghavan, AGNIT Semiconductors focuses on gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology. The firm designs and manufactures GaN materials (wafers) and electronic components, primarily for radio-frequency (RF) applications.

AGNIT had earlier explored building components for electric vehicles, but has paused those efforts to focus on strategic sectors where demand for GaN technology is stronger.
