Technology-led affordable housing finance company Aham Housing Finance has raised Rs 100 crore in a follow-on funding round led by The Sanmar Group.
Existing investors, including Negen Capital, one of the company's early institutional backers, also participated in the round.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company's lending capacity, expand its presence in underserved housing markets, deepen its footprint in existing geographies, enter select new markets, and continue investing in technology, Aham Housing Finance said in a press release.
Led by Venkatesh Kannappan, Aham Housing Finance is focused on providing affordable home loans to underserved and emerging borrower segments across India.
The company uses data-driven underwriting, localized distribution, and risk management practices to serve self-employed and first-time homebuyers who are often underserved by traditional lenders.
According to the company, it has recorded growth across key operating metrics over the past few years while maintaining a prudent risk management framework. It said it remains focused on expanding financial inclusion through responsible lending.
