Lending solutions platform Uncia has raised $3 million (approximately Rs 25 crore) in a seed funding round led by Hyderabad-based venture capital firm Pavestone.
The proceeds will be used to accelerate growth in India, as well as support the company's entry into the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and North American markets, Uncia said in a press release.
Launched in 2020 by Hari Padmanabhan, Chairman of Uncia, the company is an AI-native lending technology firm that builds digital infrastructure for banks and NBFCs. The platform offers three integrated products: UnciaPrime (Loan Origination System), UnciaLeap (Loan Management System), and UnciaFlow (Supply Chain Finance and Digital Lending).
The lending ecosystem is expanding rapidly, yet much of the underlying technology remains constrained by legacy systems that cannot support the speed, flexibility, and intelligence required by modern lenders. Uncia has built a unified, cloud-first platform with embedded AI capabilities to address these challenges, enabling rapid deployment and 'pay-as-you-grow' scalability.
According to the Chennai-based startup, its AI-native platforms are designed around a 'self-serve lending infrastructure, allowing financial institutions to configure, launch, and manage complex lending products independently, without change requests, IT dependencies, or implementation delays that typically span quarters.
The startup claims it processes over Rs 2 lakh crore in AUM across leading financial institutions, including some of India's largest lenders.
Pavestone Technology Fund, with a corpus of Rs 816 crore, focuses on early growth-stage B2B technology companies that solve critical challenges for large public and private enterprises. The fund typically backs companies with validated market traction, strong product-market fit, and partnerships with anchor clients.
