Helium, a residential rental platform focused on gated society apartments, has raised Rs 5 crore in an angel funding round from startup founders and operators including Albinder Dhindsa, Kunal Shah, Pankaj Chaddah, Mohit Gupta, Akriti Chopra, Gunjan Patidar, and Nitin Gupta.

The proceeds will be used to expand across Bengaluru and increase supply in gated communities in the coming months.

Founded by Sahil Ludhani and Ashutosh Tandon, the firm operates a full-stack rental model. It works directly with homeowners and offers guaranteed rental income while managing tenant relationships and operations.

Helium focuses on onboarding apartments in gated communities. It claims that a limited share of such homes is listed online, with most transactions happening through brokers or offline networks.

The brand also offers a deposit product called Deposit Saver. This links tenant deposits to credit profiles and allows users to rent homes with deposits as low as one month. The remaining deposit is facilitated through NBFC partners, while homeowners receive the full deposit amount.

Helium launched in Whitefield around six months ago and has onboarded around 170 homes. It reports an average rental cycle of 14 days.
