API-driven telephony infrastructure platform Vobiz.ai has raised $1 million in a seed funding round led by Piper Serica VC Fund.
The funds will be used to strengthen engineering and go-to-market capabilities, the company said in a press release.
Co-founded last year by Suman Gandham and Vikash Srivastava, Vobiz.ai provides low-latency, secure voice infrastructure tailored for AI voice agents and applications, addressing the limitations of traditional telephony in the era of conversational AI.
The Bengaluru-based startup offers instant DID provisioning, low-latency SIP trunking, real-time streaming, noise cancellation, and compliance automation, enabling developers to integrate voice AI quickly. It also provides low-latency call bridging optimized for AI response cycles, real-time streaming for large language model integrations, audio enhancement layers, and compliance workflows aligned with Indian telecom regulations.
According to market research, the voice AI market is expected to reach $32.47 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 29%.
Vobiz.ai aims to solve challenges such as high latency, limited programmability, poor call control, and fragmented developer experiences by building an AI-native communication platform.
Over the next 12 to 18 months, the company plans to expand its DID inventory and carrier partnerships, enhance real-time streaming capabilities, and introduce advanced observability and enterprise-grade compliance tools.
It competes with players such as Exotel, Plivo, Twilio, Telnyx, and Ubona.
