Indian Railways, Vande Bharat Express latest update: Indian Railways has revised the schedule of the country's second Vande Bharat Express.

The train was introduced on October 3, 2019, and was flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the presence of the then Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. The coaches of this train have been indigenously manufactured at the Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF).

India's second Vande Bharat Express train connects the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with Delhi. The train operates between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra. With the introduction of this semi-high speed train, religious tourism has received a big boost. The blue and white color train is playing an important role in the development and progress of the UT. The train is being operated and maintained by the Northern Railway (NR) zone.

Now, the train will depart five minutes earlier than its scheduled time. "It is notified for the information of the general public that due to operational reasons, the timing of train number 22440 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra- New Delhi Vande Bharat express train...revised," the zonal railway said in a statement.

Train number 22440 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra- New Delhi Vande Bharat Express train will depart from Katra at 14:55 hrs instead of 15:00 hrs to reach Jammu Tawi at 16:08 hrs instead of 16:13 hrs. It will depart from Jammu Tawi at 16:10 hrs instead of 16:15 for its onward journey. The timing of this train onward to Jammu Tawi will remain unchanged.
