Virat Kohli immensely happy after RCB win second consecutive IPL title

Following the culmination of the match, Aaron Finch (JioStar broadcaster) asked Virat Kohli to express the feeling of becoming the IPL champion again, to which Kohli said, it is hard to put the feeling into words. He reminisced about the incredible maiden title, which RCB clinched last year, and was immensely happy as they are the back-to-back champions now.

"It feels absolutely incredible to win two IPL trophies in a row. Honestly, it's hard to put this feeling into words. It took us eighteen years to win our first trophy, but I have always believed in God. When God gives, He gives from all directions. Now we are back-to-back champions. The Bangalore fans have endured so much over the years, and Bangalore will always have a special place in my heart. I love the fans immensely, and this victory is for them. Being able to make them happy and win consecutive IPL trophies feels truly amazing. Today, I am extremely happy."

Kohli noted that the victory of last year had taken the pressure off the team, which resulted in RCB topping the table this time. He credited the world-class bowlers who are a part of the squad and highlighted that their balance is their strength.

"I said it doesn't feel like there's same pressure as we had last year. We topped the table and said we're the best if we execute our plans. Just the skillset, composure and maturity we had showed. After the break, we had a loss and a close win vs MI. That was a tricky period, but the belief came back after that win. Amazing. We had to wait so long. You don't have to stand tall everytime. There are guys in front, behind and around us. World-class bowling, Hoff, Bhuvi, Rasikh was amazing. We have balance, strength."
