Poonawalla Fincorp on Thursday, April 9, said its board has approved the launch of a qualified institutional placement (QIP) of equity shares, setting the floor price at Rs 390.26 per share.
"...approving the floor price for the Issue, being 390.26 per Equity Share, ("Floor Price"), based on the pricing formula as prescribed under the SEBI ICDR Regulations. In this relation, we are filing the preliminary placement document dated April 9, 2026 with your office," the company said in an exchange filing on Thursday, April 9.
"The Issue price will be determined by the Company in consultation with the book running lead managers appointed in relation to the Issue. We further wish to inform you that the 'relevant date' for the purpose of the Issue, in terms of the Regulation 171(b)(i) of the SEBI ICDR Regulations, is April 9, 2026 and accordingly the floor price in respect of the aforesaid Issue, based on the pricing formula as prescribed under Regulation 176(1) of the SEBI ICDR Regulations is₹390.26 per Equity Share. Pursuant to Regulation 176(1) of the SEBI ICDR Regulations and the approval of the shareholders, accorded through a special resolution dated February 19, 2026, passed by way of postal ballot, the Company may offer a discount of not more than 5% on the floor price so calculated for the Issue," it added.
Earlier this year in January, alongside its third-quarter results, the board had approved raising up to Rs 5,500 crore through a QIP.
Earlier this week, the non-banking financial company said its assets under management stood at Rs 60,325 crore as of March 31, as per its provisional business update. Poonawalla Fincorp also said it maintained ample liquidity of around Rs 7,550 crore at the end of the March quarter.

Shares of Poonawalla Fincorp closed at Rs 401 per share, which is 3.33 per cent below the previous close of Rs 414.80 apiece. During the day, the counter swung between Rs 421.50 and Rs 396.50.
"The scrip PE is greater than 50 for previous 4 trailing quarters," according to BSE website. Notably, Poonawalla Fincorp is a constituent of BSE 500 index and enjoys a market capitalisation of Rs 32,593.99 crore.
