The moment every To All The Boys fan has been waiting for just got confirmed. Lara Jean Covey is returning and this time she is stepping into her little sister's world.
The Season 3 trailer for XO Kitty dropped with one moment that stopped everyone in their tracks: Lara Jean showing up in Seoul, walking straight into big sister mode, and sending the entire fanbase into a spiral of nostalgia and excitement all at once.
Seeing the Song Covey sisters together again on screen feels like the reunion nobody officially asked for, but everybody secretly wanted. Lara Jean brings advice, warmth and the kind of older sibling presence that Kitty has clearly needed for a while. But the moment she appeared, fans had exactly one follow-up question burning in their heads: if Lara Jean is in Seoul, does that mean Peter Kavinsky is somewhere nearby, too?
The trailer does not answer that. Not even close. And that silence has sent fans into full detective mode, rewatching every frame looking for a glimpse, a shadow, anything. If he shows up even for five seconds this season, the internet will absolutely not recover.
Kitty Is Back And Still A Mess In The Best Way
While the Lara Jean reveal stole the headlines, Kitty Song Covey is still very much the heart of the whole thing. She is back at the Korean Independent School of Seoul for her senior year and she has arrived with a plan she is calling her Senior Sunset List, every experience, memory and moment she wants to tick off before her time at KISS is over for good.
It sounds organised. It sounds manageable. It is Kitty, so nothing about it will stay that way.
The Min Ho Problem Has Not Gone Away
Here is the thing about Kitty: she gives everyone else relationship advice while completely failing to deal with her own. The trailer makes it painfully clear that she is still deeply gone over Min Ho and still finding every excuse not to say it directly. Lingering looks, near confessions, perfect moments ruined by bad timing, the slow burn that fans have been sitting with is still very much burning. If anything it looks hotter this season because senior year means running out of time to keep avoiding the obvious.
Who Is Back And Who Is New
Most of the original cast is returning for the final year. Anna Cathcart is back as Kitty, Sang Heon Lee returns as Min Ho, and familiar faces, including Gia Kim, Choi Min-yeong, Anthony Keyvan, Regan Aliyah and Joshua Lee, are all back at KISS. Three new characters are also joining this season - Marius, played by Sule Thelwell, Yisoo, played by Soy Kim and Gigi, played by Christine Hwang - each of them likely carrying their own complications into an already chaotic year.
Senior Year, Higher Stakes
There is a specific kind of pressure that comes with a final year that earlier seasons simply cannot replicate. Every moment carries extra weight because it comes with the awareness that it might be the last one. Last parties, last fights, last chances to say things that have been left unsaid. That energy runs through the trailer and gives Season 3 a feeling that the show has been building toward this all along.
Add Lara Jean back into the picture, leave the Peter Kavinsky question deliberately unanswered, keep the Min Ho tension simmering and drop three new characters into the mix, and you have a season that feels genuinely worth the wait.
XO Kitty Season 3 premieres April 2 on Netflix with all episodes dropping on the same day. Clear the calendar.
