Importance of the Char Dham Yatra
According to religious beliefs, devotees starting the Char Dham Yatra from Yamunotri face no obstacles.
Yamunotri is the origin of the Yamuna River. Yamuna is the sister of Yamraj and has been blessed with the boon of alleviating the suffering of all through her waters.

It is believed that devotees who bathe in Yamunotri are freed from the fear of death. Like every year, millions of devotees are expected to visit Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri shrines.
