According to the Hindu calendar, the main festival of Gangaur (Gangaur Vrat 2026) is celebrated on the third day of the bright fortnight of the month of Chaitra.
According to the Gregorian calendar, this date falls on Saturday, March 21, in 2026.

Although this 16-day fast begins the day after Holi (Dhulandi), the day of Chaitra Shukla Tritiya is the most special because it is on this day that the festival concludes and the idol is immersed.
According to the Drik Panchang, the third day of the bright fortnight of the month of Chaitra begins at 2:30 am on March 21, 2026. This date will end at 11:56 pm on the same day. Therefore, the Gangaur fast will be observed on Saturday, March 21.
