**Dhanush Replaces Ram Charan**
According to a report by *Variety India*, it is Dhanush-not Ram Charan-who will star in the lead role of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming grand jungle-based film. This marks an ambitious project for Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Dhanush has now been finalized for the role.

The film will be produced under the banner of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions, while Tamil filmmaker P.S. Mithran will serve as its director. Mithran is known for films such as *Irumbu Thirai*, *Hero*, and *Sardar*, and this project will mark his Bollywood debut. Notably, this will be his first time collaborating with Dhanush.

**Multiple Revisions to the Script**
The report also revealed that P.S. Mithran was initially working on *Rowdy Rathore 2*; however, as that project failed to materialize, he began exploring other options. It was during this time that the story for the current film emerged. The report further states that the storyline underwent several revisions and refinements before being finalized-a process that concluded just a few months ago. During this period, the search for a lead actor began. Discussions were held with Ram Charan, but when those negotiations did not work out, Dhanush was selected for the role. Filming is expected to commence in early 2027.

**Dhanush Has Several Films in the Pipeline**
On the work front, Dhanush has a busy schedule with several films lined up. He is currently shooting for Rajkumar Periyasamy's 'D55,' following which his next project will be with Mari Selvaraj. Subsequently, he is set to work on Pachaimuthu Tamilarasan's next venture, followed by *Vada Chennai 2*. His/Her upcoming projects also include a biopic of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, to be directed by Om Raut. Meanwhile, his/her next film is Vignesh Raja's *Kara*, which is scheduled for release this Friday.

On the other hand, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is busy preparing for *Love and War*, a film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. This film is slated for a Republic Day weekend release in 2027.
