Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI 2026, spotlighting the evolving face of Indian fashion, unfolded at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from March 19, bringing together sustainability, craft, emerging talent, and conscious glamour under one roof.
While Day 1 set the tone with everyday luxury, Day 2 leaned towards eco-conscious fashion, khadi, circular design, and fresh runway talent. Bollywood made its presence felt in full force, with some of the most talked-about celebrity fashion moments of the season playing alongside.
Ananya Panday was one of the most talked-about celebrity fashion moments of the day, turning heads as the showstopper for Rahul Mishra's White Gold showcase, an all-white ensemble created in collaboration with Supima cotton. The showcase itself marked twenty years since Rahul Mishra's NIF Global GenNext debut, making Ananya's presence on that particular ramp feel especially significant.

True to the collection's garden-inspired narrative rooted in India's cotton heritage, she opened the show in a glossy, oversized blazer layered over a crisp white shirt adorned with delicate dragonfly embellishments, paired with a pleated ivory skirt that flowed effortlessly down the ramp. The sporty yet luxe aesthetic made a strong case for contemporary Indian dressing. Her makeup was kept naturally toned, with soft contouring sculpting her face, a subtle eye, and a muted lip that kept the overall look clean, radiant, and camera-ready. Her newly debuted bangs framed her face with a freshness that felt entirely intentional.
After the show, during an interaction with the media, she expressed, "There's always a story with Rahul, and I love the part. He's truly an artist." Her mother, Bhavana Pandey, was in the audience, and Ananya also spoke about her love for outfits that are comfortable without compromising on elegance.

The day was also graced by Radhika Madan, who brought a cool, youthful energy to the runway as the showstopper for designers Mannat Jain and Sneha Ali Shetty. The Angrezi Medium actress made a strong case for Indian textile heritage done right, stepping out in a boxy, cropped shirt crafted in vibrant Madras checks, paired with voluminous, teal pleated pants that added just the right amount of drama. A statement bag in the same checkered pattern tied the look together effortlessly, while platform heels and silver statement earrings added height and a hint of shine.

Her beauty look stayed refreshingly understated. A dewy base, softly flushed cheeks, and nude lips kept things light and fresh, while relaxed centre-parted curls ensured the outfit remained the focal point throughout. It was the kind of runway moment that felt genuinely wearable, which is perhaps what made it stand out on a day already full of considered, craft-driven fashion.
