A professional background in real estate, serving as a Vice President overseeing multiple functions and building strong operational expertise didn't deter Leena Jain to pursue her passion - that of making quality fragrances available accessible to a larger audience.
As the founder of Fraganta, a Made-in-India perfume brand, she was driven by a vision to make perfumes a part of daily life rather than an occasional luxury. She launched Fraganta to bridge the gap between affordability and quality. Her approach revolves around creating fragrances that enhance personal presence catering to a wider spectrum of users.
Beyond her entrepreneurial journey, she is an active member of the Lions Club and has been recognised by various organisations for her social contributions, reflecting her commitment to both business and making community impact.
Excerpts from an interview
'Success can never be defined by a specific benchmark like the amount of money, different titles, or the number of recognitions one has. Success, for me, is trying to be a better version of myself tomorrow than what I am today. It can be in diversified verticals, as far as there is even a small bit of improvement constantly observed.
'The realisation of being on the right path was visible with the quality of people who started to join hands with me in my ongoing journey.Good things happen to good people, and I feel very blessed that there are very few, but quality people in my journey with me.
'For me, the goal to provide a better lifestyle to my family than what I had as a child was always motivating. The reward in proportion to the efforts put in has always been a convincing inspiration to invest more effort. Problems, situations, time, and failure are the best teachers. Putting in efforts without expectations has been something that has helped me avoid getting disappointed.
'Communication with people has been something that I realised I am good at.Patience is what I worked extremely hard to develop; it was a lengthy, but very fruitful process.
'I can say that sometimes I get nervous while handling self-doubt, but I am confident most of the time. I know this from experience because the effort I put in will be more than what is required and the intent will always be good.
'We all face that situation where we get lured towards easy choices.Once, however, I heard a great lady say that 'always choose the harder right over the easier wrong, and never grow a wishbone where your backbone should be.' The thought has stuck with me for good.
'Make mistakes but do not repeat them. Educate yourself properly in terms of financial and risk management, and regardless of anything, cull out time for your family.
'Success is not a destination. It is a journey of improving step by step, learning from mistakes and achievements daily.'
