BTS have dropped the music video for their track 2.0 from their recently released album Arirang. It is a stylish, tongue-in-cheek homage to Park Chan-wook's Oldboy.

Band members RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook and Taehyung appear in bold, exaggerated avatars like 70s-inspired mafia aesthetics with sharp suits, tinted aviators and dramatic moustaches. The video doesn't just reference Oldboy but it also recreates the film's iconic hallway fight sequence, adding a stylised, slightly irreverent BTS twist.

ARMYs have been busy decoding every frame, but Taehyung's Wooga Squad friend, Park Seo-joon, also shared a hilarious reaction to RM's look in the video, which bears a striking resemblance to his own appearance. Leaning into the uncanny similarity, the Itaewon Class actor joked, "My mother is actually asking if this is me. I love you, BTS."

He followed it up by sharing a close-up photo of Taehyung, who is seen sporting a fake moustache and casually holding a lollipop.

Meanwhile, the members of BTS are returning with the second edition of their beloved reality game series Run BTS. This time, the show has been titled Run BTS! 2.0. A teaser for the same was released recently. The show had temporarily stopped due to BTS members' departures for their military tenures.

Now that they are back, the band has several promotional tours and media appearances lined up. They will also be embarking on their world tour from this month. On the other hand, their recently released album Arirang is proving to be successful in every way. The album has reached the top of the Billboard 200 and scored the biggest sales week for a group album in over 10 years.

It is the biggest first week for an album as per units, surpassing Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl.
