Priyanka Chopra Jonas delivered a stunning moment at the Gold Gala 2026. She wore a breathtaking ivory creation that merged Indian craftsmanship with sculptural modern glamour.
She received the Global Vanguard Award (or Global Vanguard Honour) at the fifth edition of the ceremony.
The gown was crafted from a reimagined 20-year-old chikankari saree by designer Amit Aggarwal. The strapless ensemble featured intricate tonal embroidery that was filled with chikankari artistry, while the corseted bodice sculpted the frame with precision. The hypnotic symmetry running through the gown comprised fan-like motifs around from the waist. It created an almost celestial illusion against the ivory base.
The dramatic train added movement and old-world grandeur. But the dress never lost its rootedness in Indian textile heritage. Instead of relying on loud embellishment, the look embraced detail-on-detail craftsmanship. It comprised delicate thread work, geometric textures and lace-like layering that rewarded every close-up shot. The result was regal without feeling costume-like.
Priyanka kept the styling restrained. Her soft bronzed glam, voluminous blowout and diamond-and-emerald necklace introduced just enough drama without competing with the embroidery-heavy gown.
