YASH is starring in Ramayana: Part One as Ravana. The actor opened up about featuring as the lead antagonist, Ravana and what it took for him to build the look and keep it as authentic as possible.
During his appearance at Cinema Con, Yash elaborately shared about his costume. He opened up about the team working on the details of the costume, including a gold crown, body armour, shoulder pads and arm cuffs. He also noted that the costume made him feel "powerful."

Yash told his fans at the event, "I have never done anything like this before. Wearing these types of costumes and a crown, it was heavy, I must admit. We were particular about the way it looked and chasing the authentic look led it to finally being very heavy. I had to take it off between (the shoot). But it was amazing."
The actor also shared how donning the costume helped him portray his role in a better manner. He added, "Once you get into the costume, you start feeling the character. I always have that thing. When I'm in costume and get in front of the camera, that's when I really hit the note. With Ravana in that attire, it really felt like I was that person at that time. It gives you that power to go out and perform. It was a very unique experience."
Yash also revealed his process of understanding Ravana involved getting into his mindset. He concluded, "I'm thinking what must've been going on in his head when he was doing these things. What is the reason behind it? How would he convince himself? So it was a very fascinating process for me, just to understand."
