Carlos Alcaraz's name is on the entry list for the Cincinnati Masters, and if he participates, it will be his first tournament since the Barcelona Open.
The Spaniard injured his right wrist during the first round of the Barcelona Open and has since been sidelined.
He ended up withdrawing from not just the French Open (where he was a two-time defending champion) but also from Wimbledon (where he had played the finals in the previous three seasons). Alcaraz hasn't revealed anything about that injury, which is why the severity of it is not known yet. But with a player like the seven-time Grand Slam champion missing two back-to-back Majors, many are convinced Alcaraz suffered from a serious injury.
The tennis world is no longer talking about the injury. Of course they are discussing it, but at the moment, the focus has shifted toward, well, Alcaraz's hairstyle! The 23-year-old loves experimenting with his hair, and this time, he debuted braids, leaving fans in complete disbelief.
On Thursday (July 30), the Spaniard took to his Instagram and shared a July photo dump, with the first picture being of him posing for a mirror selfie and showing off his new braided look.

And as always, his hairstyle received mixed reactions from fans online. Some compared him to Bad Bunny, while some joked he looked unrecognizable.

Sinner will be chasing his seventh title of the season in Cincinnati. Alcaraz, if he plays, will be chasing his third title of the season. He has played three finals so far, winning titles in Melbourne and Doha.
