Cris Cyborg has fired another shot at Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano for how the main event of the MVP MMA card turned out on Saturday. Rousey claimed victory over Carano in 17 seconds via armbar, getting her first win since 2015. For Carano, this was her second consecutive MMA loss since losing to Cyborg in 2008.
Both Carano and Rousey was away from MMA for years before returning last Saturday. 'Rowdy' had not fought since her loss to Amanda Nunes in 2016 at UFC 207. On the other hand, Carano was out for even longer, with her last fight being the aforementioned loss from 17 years ago.
Cris Cyborg was in no mood to cut these fighters some slack, given their extended absences from the sport. The women's MMA legend took to X to troll the MVP MMA main event with a meme depicting the armbar from Rousey in the cage. Outside it, a fan stood with a sign reading, 'This fight could have been an email!' Cyborg also alluded to an upcoming fight in the caption, tagging her current employers.
The PFL women's featherweight champion did not stop with this meme. She also posted a poll on X asking her fans whether they thought the inaugural MVP MMA main event was a 'real fight.' The majority seemed to share Cyborg's opinion that it wasn't.
Before the card had taken place, Cris Cyborg had offered to train Gina Carano for her then-upcoming MMA comeback. She later doubled down on that offer by offering her former opponent advice on how to face 'Rowdy'. Cyborg and Rousey have never had a friendly relationship, and often take jabs at each other for quite some time now.
Their feud has seen Ronda Rousey accusing her Brazilian counterpart of using steroids. On the other hand, Cyborg went after 'Rowdy' for allegedly ducking a fight against her. This narrative from the Brazilian was seemingly corroborated by leaked court documents that showed Rousey demanding a massive purse and a 'special clause'.
However, following the former UFC women's bantamweight champion's return to the cage, her longtime rival threw down the gauntlet in the most unseen way possible.

On her way out of the event, she spoke to Fight Hype TV and fired another jab at the former UFC superstar. She was asked about her thoughts on the 17-second main event. Cyborg replied by making an outrageous claim about fighting both Rousey and Carano while laughing.

The above post was not the end of Cris Cyborg's tirade on X. She later targeted boxer Claressa Shields after she slapped Alycia Baumgardner during a heated argument backstage at MVP MMA. The WMMA legend claimed that she could beat Shields without throwing a punch, likening the finish to a potential fight between them to the one from the main event of the MVP MMA card.
