His son Dale Earnhardt Jr. expanded the legacy as racer and now as a team owner, keeping the family name alive.

Streaming giants Amazon Prime is set to a new documentary exploring the life of Dale Earnhardt, who passed away in a tragic accident in the 2001 Daytona 500. Dale Earnhardt Jr. discussed about the documentary via his Dale Jr. Download podcast and believes it is one of the greatest ever documentary made about his parents.

It's something. I'll just say that. There's really only one great Dale Earnhardt documentary that in my mind that has ever been made, and that's the Dale documentary. For anybody that wanted to know anything about Dale Earnhardt, the Dale doc was the one that I would hand to them and say don't watch anything else. Nothing else compares.

He pointed out that it is one of the series that explores everything one needs to know about Senior and goes much deeper than any productions from before. Dale Jr. feels proud to be the son of the intimidator.

Further talking about the point, Junior asserted that the documentary is really personal for him and revealed the series has properly celebrated all the encompassments of the racing legend. He also revealed that the documentary proves the racer was really badas* on the track in his career.

I mean, it's real personal. It gets into who he was as a human being. A lot of things have always really celebrated the shell, the man in Black, the stats, the championships, the wins, the success, the whole persona. That's what the Dale doc does to the fullest. It celebrates how badass of a racecar driver this guy was.

Junior comments proves that he enjoys his appearance in the docu-series as well as all the life stories it reveals about the legendary racer. His joy comes out from the fact the documentary will help him to keep his father's legacy alive for years to come.

Despite being happy about the production, he is bit anxious as well. He is hoping to see a positive reaction from the racing community after watching the documentary, which discusses a lot of personal stories as well as some hard to watch content.

But this documentary that we're doing with the folks on Prime is much more personal. Several parts of it was really hard to watch. I don't want to say too much, but I'm really anxious to see the response to it.

The comments from Junior, who is Prime's NASCAR race broadcaster for the coming years, shows he is excited about the opportunity the documentary is going to open. It will be interesting to see if they results will match his expectations.
