I don't know what plans there are for her. I think people in New York and the USTA are very excited about her playing something. Whether it's mixed doubles with Carlos Alcaraz, regular doubles, or even all 3 formats.

Alcaraz is currently sidelined with a wrist injury and has missed two consecutive Grand Slams—Roland Garros and Wimbledon. His comeback date has not yet been confirmed, and it will be interesting to see whether he is fit in time to defend his US Open title and compete in the mixed doubles event. Alcaraz partnered with Emma Raducanu in the event last year. Roddick further added:

We will see Serena again, I'm sure. There are many things to look forward to this summer alongside her.

The US Open introduced a revamped mixed doubles format last year, shifting the event to Fan Week before the main draw in a bid to attract more top singles players. The tournament featured a 16-team field, with eight teams qualifying based on their combined singles rankings and the remaining eight receiving wild cards.
