New York Jets wideout Garrett Wilson caught media attention with an insane catch amid the win against the Houston Texans. The Green and White snapped their five-game losing streak on Thursday night at the MetLife Stadium.

The Jets defeated the Texans 21-13 despite scoring zero points in the first half. They rallied 14 points in the last quarter to clinch a do-or-die fixture for the team. Garrett Wilson scored two touchdowns, the latter of which received widespread acclaim. Wilson snatched a ball from quarterback Aaron Rodgers, split in the air, with one hand to register a lead over the Texans.

The catch has since been compared to the Odell Beckham Jr. masterpiece from years ago. Beckham Jr. recorded a one-hander similar to the one Wilson produced today while starting for the New York Giants in 2014.

The catch was initially ruled invalid since Wilson had only one foot down. However, after a Jets replay challenge, officials decided his left shin touched down inbounds at the back of the end zone. According to the rules, one shin counts the same as two feet. Post the game, head coach Jeff Ulbrich recalled the incident during the press conference. He said that the catch was so good that it would rival the Odell Beckham catch.

Oh, my goodness. I mean, I was talking to the ref when they were reviewing it. I'm like, 'Just for the sake of posterity, you have to let it stand just so it goes down in history.' It would rival the Odell catch. It was amazing.

Wilson expressed happiness in his name turning up in relation with Odell Beckham Jr. He also compared his was less perfect as compared to OBJ as the latter ensured both feet down.

New York Jets have been in a funk for the most part of the season. The Jets were 2-3 when they fired Robert Saleh on a whim. The three games following the firing wasn't any better, they lost all of them where they had pretty low scores as well. The first half against the Texans seemed to have followed the same path.

The fans were heard chanting 'Sell the team' from the stands - marking a new low for the green and white. The halftime did some wonders for them, gaining 21 valuable points. Jeff Ulbrich said that it was a collective team effort that led the team to the win in the second half.

It was a collective deal. It was players and coaches. All of us spoke. . . . We came out and played Jets football in the second half.

The Jets, who flunked to the bottom position of the group last week, are sitting in second place. The recent game showed some promise in Rodgers, Wilson and Davante Adams, who recorded first rushing TD with the Jets. The win against Houston Texans, a much higher ranked team, will be a huge bolster to their efforts to stage a comeback.
