Kendrick Lamar performing the Super Bowl LIX half-time show was a move by the NFL to capture the attention of the world owing to his heightened fame.

He beat out the likes of Lil Wayne, who wanted to perform at this edition of the great sporting spectacle.

The rapper started off his half-time show from the hood of a Buick Grand National GNX. He then started belting out his hits one by one, but the crowd at Caesars Superdome were not completely into it. Then when SZA came on, the heat started to turn up a bit.

Then finally he got to the song that everyone was waiting for, 'Not Like Us'. His Grammy Award winning rendition was both another diss at rapper Drake and the song that brought everyone inside the arena to start vibing along. The song even featured tennis legend Serena Williamsperforming a crip walk on stage.

Further, Kendrick Lamar moved on to his final song 'TV Off' and, by now, had an entire plethora of dancers on the field and on the multiple stages. In the midst of this, a person was captured on camera holding a dual flag featuring Sudan and Palestine.

He was standing on top of the Buick Grand National GNX for a decent amount of time and only jumped off and ran when an event manager confronted him. But even after running on to the field, there were no security guards trying to catch him.

The unidentified man kept on running and waving the flag as Lamar continued performing his song. Finally, a few security agents ran on to the field and tackled him to the ground. They then dragged him off the turf as the Super Bowl LIX half-time show winded down.

A few weeks ago, a former US Marine had killed a lot of people in New Orleans sporting an ISIS flag on his truck. Since then, security had been ramped up to ensure fans and players were safe. After all that, the man still broke through and staged this protest at Super Bowl LIX. Fans lauded the man on social media for his effort, examples of which are below.

The man probably knew that the world was watching alongside President Donald Trump. Super Bowl LIX finished with the Philadelphia Eagles thumping the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 to stop their three-peat hopes. In the midst of all this, the man holding the flag has caught the world's attention.
