The 2024 season will mark an end of an era as the 2017 Cup champion Martin Truex Jr. is set to retire at the end of the year. He will retire from full-time racing, but has promised to still race on the top-tier as well as the Xfinity Series as long as he could.
He now has given a major update on his entry into the 2025 Daytona 500.
The biggest race in NASCAR the Daytona 500 is one event Martin Truex Jr. has never won, making him part of the few Cup champions never to do it. So, winning the 500-mile event is still his dream and to do so, he is looking to race in the series next-year. His outing would come with either current team Joe Gibbs Racing and 23XI Racing that has already offered him a car.
At Daytona ahead of the Coke Zero Sugar 400, he admitted as per Jordan Bianchi that a deal for 2025 is all but done for him. The veteran though didn't reveal which teams he would race with, but has confirmed that his JGR boss Joe Gibbs is the one working on it. A 23XI car is the most suitable choice he has for 2025.
