The NBA world was left stunned a few weeks ago when Luka Doncic was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers. This move made Lakers fans believe that they will challenge for the NBA title this season.
After observing Doncic's behavior during the Lakers' defeat to the Charlotte Hornets this week, Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright recently offered his sorrowful analysis. This analysis came mostly because the Slovenian hasn't performed up to his usual level. Wright did not hold back against Doncic as well as the Lakers' fan base in his recent take.
He's still in a state of shock that this happened. I think he is legit sad and I think that he is really unsettled by this.
Nick Wright said on First Things FirstThe All-Star guard has committed 12 turnovers and shot just 16 of 45 (36%) from the field and 21% from three-point range. This is in his first three games with the Lakers. Before his trade this season, Doncic averaged 28.1 points per game with the Mavericks. However, he has not yet reached the 20-point mark in Los Angeles and appears to be a shadow of his typical outstanding play.

Wright also claimed that in his first games with the Lakers, Doncic, who is usually furious and exudes his trademark swagger on the floor, was unusually 'meek.' However, next Tuesday, Doncic might reignite that flame. Doncic will play his first game against his old team when the Lakers entertain the Mavericks at Crypto.com Arena.
Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki made shocking revelation regarding Luka Doncic trade
Dallas Mavericks legend, Dirk Nowitzki, was left just as shocked as 'everyone' when Luka Doncic was traded to the Lakers. Notably, Nowitzki wanted to help the Lakers guard go on a new NBA career path. Luka Doncic welcomed him to his first game in Los Angeles, and the former Mavericks player acknowledged. Nowitzki felt sorry for the five-time All-Star and was taken aback.
I think he (Doncic) was—I mean it was reported that—he was pretty down and disappointed in how it went down, and so I wanted to be there (on Doncic's debut) for him, I wanted to be there for his family… I'm sure he wanted to finish his career like I did.
