Sauce Gardner has seen bad days with the New York Jets but not as bad as a 40-0 score after just over one hour of football. They weren't the favorites against a supercharged Buffalo Bills side on a winning streak, yet it wasn't expected of them to crumble under pressure at the Meadowlands.
Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw multiple picks before acting head coach Jeff Ulbrich replaced him with Tyrod Taylor in the fourth quarter. Taylor completed two touchdown passes to Garrett Wilson and Tyler Conklin to give Jets fans something to celebrate.
It's a truly disastrous effort from a team that should be winning more games with talent around the roster. Gardner knows that very well, but at the same time, he can't ignore the fact that the same team is 4-12 after sixteen games.

We, quote unquote, enhanced our roster in all areas [this year]. That just tells me we can't be playing as a team; we're probably just individuals. Last year, the year before, we had a roster that wasn't as talented as this roster, and we found ways to beat the Bills. We found ways to win. What's stopping that now?

The team is bound to change next year. With Gardner's contract running out, he isn't sure if he will be around to see the Jets' good days.

I just try and give my all, for the organization, for my teammates, for my coaches. I told DJ Reed we might not play together again and forever that's worth is that's one of the things kept me going.
