Tony, what the f—k was going on in there with the officiating? You know LeBron is a tyrant? Tony, you've been officiating for 25 plus years. You and your blood brother. All them foul calls. The brother is 41. You know how it is. National Bron Association, if the bro gets touched, it is a foul.

While undoubtedly they have been the best team in the league, several players and coaches have been critical of the officiating whenever they face OKC.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke on why the NBA world has turned against the 2025 NBA champions.

As a sports fan, if the same team dominates too much, you want to see an upset. And it happens pretty quickly. We were the darling in '15 and '16, but by the time the Finals came around, I think the average observer was pulling for LeBron [James] to pull off the comeback. I never took it personally. I've done the same thing. If a team in another sport starts to dominate, I root for the upset.

Steve Kerr in an interview with ESPN

While the NBA world may label the Thunder as the NBA's newest villains, they do not seem to care about it. They remain invincible in the playoffs this year as they have won eight out of their eight games.
