Joe Rogan is well-versed in the realm of MMA with an extensive background in Taekwondo and BJJ. Rogan recently discussed one of MMA's 'GOATs' on his podcast, citing some of the reasons for the dominance of Khabib Nurmagomedov . He also discussed why religion remains vital in Khabib Nurmagomedov's life and enumerated some of the benefits of being devout.
Rogan stated that Khabib is, without a doubt, one of the best UFC fighters. He has only lost two rounds in his entire career. Furthermore, Rogan says that he is a highly religious devotee. Muslims are called to pray and read their holy book five times daily. 'They don't f**k around, during Ramadan there is no eating, no drinking, no nothing during the day, training is all like brutal and Spartan,' said Rogan.
Rogan claimed that religion is why Dagestanis are disciplined and dominant. They don't partake in the distractions that most fighters in the industry do. Further, he remarked that the fighters in Khabib Nurmagomedov's camp are among the most dominant in the sport. They all keep their hair in the same short manner and don't party or chase after girls.
They hone their skills; their central focus is family, religion, and training. Rogan goes on to say that Khabib Nurmagomedov is humble and admirable as a human being. It is what sets Khabib aside from the rest and gives him the character and distinction of a true champion.
