Trey McBride is appealing to the Arizona Cardinals fans to attend more games and support the team. Football fans turn out in numbers to support their team if it's a home game.
Even on away days, passionate fans travel miles to cheer for the team. According to McBride, the Cardinals fans don't fall into that category.
The State Farm Stadium, home of the Cardinals, averaged just over 62 thousand spectators in 2025. However, McBride noticed an unusual and sad pattern regarding the fans.
It's like, living in Arizona, everyone — no one's from Arizona.

Everyone comes and has moved in from another state. So, they're all fans of their own teams. So, now you have the Arizona that sits there, and there's no Arizona fans in Arizona.
McBride saidThe Cardinals are among the oldest franchises in the NFL (underwent name changes a handful of times). Technically, they should be part of the winningest franchise list. But the reality is very different. With a .419 win percentage (596-826-41), the Cardinals boast the second-worst regular-season record in NFL history (only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with .412 are the worst).
Moreover, their playoff record is way more horrible. In their entire 128-year history, the Cardinals have played only 17 postseason games (7-10 record) and have never won a Super Bowl (one defeat). They last qualified for the playoffs in 2021.
Arizona drafted McBride in 2022. So, he has yet to experience postseason football. If the Cardinals win more games, perhaps fans will be motivated to attend games.
So, it's a tough deal. Hopefully, we start winning some games, and we can bring some of those fans back.
McBride saidThe Cardinals are part of the NFC West. Last year, three teams- the Seattle Seahawks, the Los Angeles Rams, and the San Francisco 49ers- played in the playoffs. Seattle won the Super Bowl (second title in the club's history).
McBride feels the atmosphere inside Seattle's Lumen Field is exceptional.

McBride is 0-8 against the Seahawks in his career. Last year was particularly rough. Arizona came close to winning at home, but Seattle's defense protected its lead. The away game was a one-sided affair. Seattle won by more than twenty points.
Their defense is a bunch of [expletive] talkers. They have a really good team, too. I feel like every time we go to Seattle, it's such a hostile environment. Lumen Field is such a cool place to play, and they've gotten the best of us the last couple of times. So, it'd be nice to get back on the winning side for sure.
McBride saidWell, he will be playing the Seahawks twice again this year. With the quarterback situation still a mess, Vegas will likely bet on the Seahawks to bag two comfortable victories.
In 2024-25, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports ranked McBride as the 42nd best player in the NFL. The 26-year-old finds himself inside the top 20—18th overall, to be exact.
He caught 126 passes last season to finish second in the league behind Puka Nacua. He also had 11 touchdowns, cementing himself as the top tight end in the game.
