NASCAR lost one of the most influential racers in the history of the sport, Kyle Busch last Thursday. The tragic death was announced via a statement released by the sanctioning body and Richard Chuildress Racing.
The whole community is mourning the death of the winningest racers in all-three championships combined.
In Thursday morning It was announced that Austin Hill will replace the veteran in the No:8 Chevy for the Coca Cola 600 weekend after the two times champion was hospitalized due to serious illness, that is yet to revealed. By evening things went from bad to worse, as the 41-year body gave up on him.
Our thoughts are with Samantha, Brexton, and Lennix, Kyle and Samantha's parents, Kurt, and all of Kyle's family, Richard and Judy Childress, everyone at Richard Childress Racing, his teammates, friends, and fans. NASCAR lost a giant of the sport today, far too soon.
NASCAR and RCR via statement.Kyle Busch haven't been 100% healthy for the last three weekends. During the Watkins Glen race two weeks ago, he asked his team to get him medical attention post-race owing to discomfort. Later it was reported thar the veteran was suffering from sinus cold and last week at Dover he admitted that he hasn't 100% recovered from it.
But the veteran was fit enough to race and he proved that by winning the Truck Series race last Friday and proving RCR needs to give him the right car to get back on the victory lane. One heartbreaking thing about the Dover win was his comments afterwords, where he highlighted about celebrating wins all the time as it might be the last. He didn't know he was unfortunately 100% right.
You never know when the last one is. I know all too well unfortunately with the Cup stuff, but here with the Truck stuff now, it's awesome to be part of Spire Motorsports.
Kyle Busch said post-race.From being good friends to bitter rivals, Joey Loganoand Kyle Busch had a love-hate relationship. But at the end of the day the dup respected each other for being dominant NASCAR champions and being the reason for them pushing the limit.
Loosing that key figure from his life was a massive shock for Logano and he shared his love for the family of the deceased. He highlighted how the late legend was a feared competitor and a great personality. The Logano is family is keeping the two times champion in their prayers.
My heart goes out to Kyle's family, his Team and everyone that knew and supported him. Kyle was a Champion, a feared competitor, a loving husband, a great dad and he'll truly be missed, as he made a forever impact on and off the race track. Let us pray for Samantha, Brexton, Lennix and the entire Busch family during this incredibly difficult time.
Joey Logano wrote on X.The same sentiment was shared by the likes of Brad Keselowski, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick, about their respectful rivalry with the late legend. The loss of Kyle Busch is something that would take a lot of time for the rest of the garage to come in terms with.
