The entire social media community went to work to discover the identity of the girl, Gabriella Zuniga, or Gabbi Zuniga for short, who accused Shannon Sharpe of physically and sexually assaulting her.
It only took them a couple of days to track down her details, including her age.
Zuniga is a 20-year-old OnlyFans model. She goes by the name 'Karli' on her social media platforms, and her Instagram handle is @sheiskarli.
Zuniga has more than 500,000 followers on Instagram. She frequently posts photos of herself wearing various swimsuits—mostly bikinis. The profile also includes a link to her OnlyFans account. She reportedly charges $12.99 per month for a VIP subscription.
Why is Gabriella Zuniga in the headlines?
Zuniga started trending on Twitter and TikTok after Shannon Sharpe's $50 million lawsuit news broke. Various gossip sites identified Gabbi Zuniga as the model who sued Sharpe for emotional, verbal, and physical abuse.
Shannon Sharpe (Image via IMAGO)A woman can say 'yes' to consensual s**ual relations with a man ninety-nine times, but when she says 'no' even once, that 'no' means no. Defendant Shannon Sharpe, a man who is accustomed to getting what he wants, completely fails to understand this basic concept. After many months of manipulating and controlling Plaintiff—a woman more than thirty years younger than he—and repeatedly threatening to brutally choke and violently slap her, Sharpe refused to accept the answer no and r***d Plaintiff, despite her sobbing and repeated screams of 'no.'
The lawsuit readThe original lawsuit didn't contain a name. Jane Doe was used to call the unidentified accuser. The gossip mongers' certainty that it's Zuniga stems from screenshots of Sharpe's DMs and messages now circulating on social media.
'I want you to put a dog collar around my neck and choke me with it while you're f***ing me. I know you miss this big juicy a**…$25K for each cheek,' Zuniga allegedly sent these messages to Sharpe.
Later, a conversation between Sharpe and Zuniga somehow got leaked. In the audiotape, the Hall of Fame tight end can be heard talking about choking Zuniga.
'Lord, have mercy [on me]. If you say that word one more time, I'm going to choke the s*** out of you when I see you. Thank you,' Sharpe said.
Amidst all the chatter and leaks, the 56-year-old posted a video on X. In the video, he accused Zuniga's attorney of racism.
'This is all being orchestrated by Tony Buzbee, who has targeted Jay-Z. Tony Buzbee targets Black men and I believe he is going to release a 30-second clip of a s*x tape that tries to make me look guilty and plays into every stereotype you could possibly imagine,' Shannon Sharpe said.
Sharpe challenged Tony Buzbee to release the unedited version of the video into the public domain.
'Tony. Instead of releasing your edit, put the whole video out. I don't have it or I would myself. You know what happened but you're trying to manipulate the media,' Sharpe said.
Stephen A. Smith reacted to allegations against Shannon Sharpe from Gabriella Zuniga
Sharpe is a regular contributor to ESPN's First Take with Stephen A. Smith, aside from his individual ventures that include the Club Shay Shay and the NightCap podcast with former NFL receiver Chad Johnson.
Smith, in a recent interview with the New York Post, gave his view on Sharpe's ongoing legal troubles.
'I can tell you I also spoke to the co-chairman of Disney, the boss, Jimmy Pitaro, who made it very, very clear that ESPN is taking this matter very seriously… All I do know is I won't be making the decision. It will be others upstairs,' Stephen A. Smith said.
The entire fiasco kicked off right around the time when Sharpe was close to finalizing a deal worth $100 million.

Hi!!! I am Ishan Misra… I have covered the NFL & College Football for FirstSportz since 2023 (crossed 3000 articles). My first introduction to football was through Tom Brady's seventh Super Bowl triumph as the Buccaneers QB… whitewashing the Chiefs. The noise, confetti, passion, and sportsmanship of the players got me hooked, like a bee to a flower. When I am not fidgeting with my laptop keyboard and scrolling through Twitter for juicy gossip, I fondly spend my time reading Autobiographies of athletes… I am also a massive pop culture nut & enjoy listening to rock and old-school rap songs.
