Practical Magic 2 Premiere: Nicole Kidman And Sandra Bullock Turn London Into A Fashion Fairytale

Glamsham 2 weeks ago

The stars of Practical Magic 2 brought plenty of glamour and a touch of magic to the film's London premiere. As autumn begins, fashion fans are once again looking forward to layering, fashion week and the darker style trends that usually arrive with the season.

This year, however, the spooky mood has arrived a little earlier with the release of Practical Magic 2.

The film is a sequel to the 1998 cult classic Practical Magic and is directed by Susanne Bier. Almost 30 years after the original film, Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock have returned as sisters Gillian and Sally Owens. The new film also introduces the next generation of the Owens family, with Joey King and Maisie Williams joining the cast as Kylie and Sally's daughters.

The London premiere gave the actresses a chance to make a strong fashion statement on the red carpet. Maisie Williams especially caught attention with an outfit inspired by one of Sandra Bullock's famous looks from the late 1990s. Her fashion choice added a fun connection between the original film and the new generation of the story.

Sandra Bullock chose a glamorous leopard print dress for the event. Leopard print has become a popular fashion trend again, and her choice showed that the classic pattern can still make a strong statement. The dress was from Sarah Burton's autumn collection for Givenchy and featured a high slit and a striking corset style. She completed the outfit with simple black sandals.

Nicole Kidman went for a very different style but looked equally striking. The actress, who has been a longtime Chanel ambassador, wore a custom made blue gown designed by Matthieu Blazy. The dress featured oversized sequins and eye catching chain details decorated with pearls. Kidman completed the glamorous look with gold sandals and simple jewellery.

Unlike some recent movie promotions where actors dress according to the theme or characters of their films, the Practical Magic 2 stars chose to stay closer to their own fashion styles for this event. The result was a mix of classic Hollywood glamour, modern fashion and a subtle nod to the original film.

The press tour for Practical Magic 2 has only just started, which means fans can expect plenty more red carpet appearances from Bullock, Kidman, King and Williams in the coming weeks. With stylists Jason Bolden and Leslie Fremar guiding the stars, there could still be many more memorable looks ahead.

For now, the London premiere has already given fans plenty to talk about. From Bullock's bold leopard print dress to Kidman's sparkling blue gown and Williams' 90s inspired tribute, the Practical Magic 2 cast has brought its own kind of fashion magic to the red carpet.
