A new shark attack horror film is heading to audiences this summer, with The Bay set to arrive in theatres and on demand on July 17, 2026. Brainstorm Media has announced the upcoming film, while Bloody Disgusting has exclusively released its official trailer.
The movie stars Francesca Eastwood, known for M.F.A. and Clawfoot, in a story that puts two close friends in a dangerous situation after their boat sinks in the middle of the ocean.
Directed and written by Phil Volken, The Bay follows two best friends whose relaxing boat trip quickly turns into a fight for their lives. Their tour boat goes down inside a shark sanctuary, leaving them stranded in waters filled with dangerous predators.
The official description of the film states, "When their tour boat sinks in a shark sanctuary, two best friends must fight for survival to escape the shark-infested waters."
The trailer gives viewers a look at the situation faced by the two women as they try to stay alive after being left in the water. With no easy way to reach safety, they must find a way to escape while dealing with the constant threat of sharks around them.
