08 May 2026, Oregon: Suterra, a division of The Wonderful Company, has announced the acquisition of the product lines, active ingredients, and research and development pipeline of Vestaron.
The acquisition includes the Spear® and Basin™ product lines, both of which recently received approval from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in the United States. The agreement also includes assets of Vestaron's Kalamazoo, Michigan research facility, along with additional active ingredients and product formulations under development.
Suterra said it plans to begin manufacturing its own branded and supported Spear® Lep product later this year.
"Spear® Lep is already familiar to many growers and advisers," said Matthew Bohnert, President of Suterra. "We're excited to bring this product into Suterra's portfolio and continue supporting growers with reliable supply and technical expertise."
"Suterra has demonstrated a consistent ability to successfully scale biologically based technologies, but what makes this combination particularly compelling is the grower adoption and proven success of Spear® LEP in the market," said Juan Estupinan, CEO and President of Vestaron. "We are incredibly proud of what has been built, and confident that this platform will continue to deliver even greater value to growers globally."
Suterra produces pheromone pest control and biologically based pest management products used in more than 30 countries.
