'Bhartiya Jaadu Party' Remark Targets BJP Over Job Promises

'Bhartiya Jaadu Party' Remark Targets BJP Over Job Promises

Margao: Madganvcho Awaaz and youth leader Prabhav Naik on Friday took a swipe at the BJP government over claims related to large-scale job creation, sarcastically referring to the ruling party as the "Bhartiya Jaadu Party."

Reacting to recent remarks by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane describing Chief Minister Pramod Sawant as a "magician" capable of generating thousands of jobs, Naik questioned whether employment generation in Goa had now become a "magic show."

He alleged that despite repeated promises by the government, many educated youth in Goa continued to struggle for stable employment opportunities while unemployment remained a major concern in the State.

Naik also raised concerns over recruitment procedures in certain government departments, alleging that appointments were being carried out outside the Staff Selection Commission mechanism, thereby creating doubts about transparency and fairness in the process.

Referring to the alleged cash-for-jobs controversy, he said the government had failed to restore confidence among job seekers and address concerns related to recruitment practices.

"If the government can genuinely create 20,000 jobs within six months, the people of Goa will welcome the move," Naik stated, while adding that employment opportunities could not be created through publicity campaigns or political slogans alone.

He further said that Goa's youth were expecting transparent recruitment, accountable governance, skill-based opportunities and long-term employment generation rather than "election-time promises and political illusion."
