GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has re-engaged two retired IAS officers in senior administrative positions following Cabinet approval, according to separate notifications issued by the Personnel Department.

As per the notifications dated May 14, retired IAS officer Raj Chakrabarty has been re-engaged as Special Commissioner and Special Secretary in the Public Works (Building & NH) Department for a period of three months with full financial and administrative powers, effective from May 12.

In a separate order, retired IFS officer M.K. Yadava has been re-engaged as Special Chief Secretary (Forest) for a period of six months from May 12.

Both notifications were issued by the Assam Personnel Department following approval by the State Cabinet.
