GUWAHATI: An Air India flight carrying 149 passengers and eight crew members arriving from Dubai landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Tuesday, March 3.

The airline said that the touchdown of flight AI916D happened to be the first international arrival by an Indian carrier into the national capital today.
Air India expressed gratitude to their team, the Government of India, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the local authorities in Dubai for their continued cooperation and for making this homecoming possible in this volatile period.
Meanwhile, a limited resumption of operations at the Dubai Airport commenced on the evening of Monday, March 2. A limited number of flights have been permitted to operate from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
With aircrafts gradually taking off after a brief suspension, normalcy is slowly getting restored in the conflict-affected UAE. Thousands of Indians who are stranded in the Middle East and desperate to fly back home can finally rejoice as the wait is finally coming to an end.
However, the concerned authorities have urged the passengers to stay cautious. Travelers have been advised not to head towards the DXB or DWC unless they have been contacted directly by their airline with a confirmed departure time.
This development comes in the wake of massive retaliatory attacks by Iran across different parts of the Middle East in response to the joint US-Israel strikes which killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on February 28.
