GUWAHATI: A police team from Borjhar Outpost arrested a suspected drug peddler during a raid conducted at Jugipara near Azara in Guwahati on Friday, May 22.
Waterlogging Persists on Guwahati's GNB Road Despite Ongoing Drainage Work
The accused has been identified as Paragmoni Nath (28), a resident of Azara. The raid was carried out based on specific inputs regarding narcotics-related activities at his residence.
During the operation, the police recovered 74 vials of heroin weighing 91 grams. Officials also seized two packs of empty vials, cash amounting to ₹37,000, and four syringes from the premises.
The apprehended individual was taken into custody and necessary legal action has been initiated in the case.
